Spotlight weekly auction

One sponsored slot on the homepage, auctioned every week. Bids from $10; outbid bids are refunded automatically.

Rules & refund terms

  1. One auction per ISO week, closing Sunday 23:59:59 UTC. The winner's app is shown in the Spotlight slot the following week (Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC).
  2. Bids are in whole USD, minimum $10. Each new bid must be at least the current top bid + $5, so ties are impossible.
  3. One active bid per user per week. A new higher bid from the same user replaces their previous one, and the previous payment is refunded.
  4. You pay your bid upfront via Stripe Checkout. A bid becomes active only after Stripe confirms payment.
  5. If your payment confirms but your bid is no longer the top bid by at least $5 (someone bid at the same time), it is refunded immediately.
  6. When your bid is outbid, your payment is refunded in full automatically and immediately. Only the winning bid at close is kept.
  7. You can only bid for a live app you own. If there are no bids, the slot shows a house ad.
  8. Paid placement never affects votes or ranking. The slot is always labelled "Sponsored · Spotlight".
